Kind words from happy guests

Absolutely loved our stay. The owners are amazing hosts, such lovely people. Cabin is just perfect especially the bed, I love the bed!!! The ducks are so funny, we loved feeding them peas every day. Cannot wait to come again and stay longer. Thank you so much.

The owners are amazing hosts, happy to help or to leave you in peace. Colby Cabin is the perfect place to stay. Close to lots of places to visit and enjoy – but far enough away to feel away from everything. It is a cosy home away from home, and was difficult to leave! Watching the birds, and a cheeky squirrel as well as feeding the ducks peas was such a joy. Thank you for letting me stay and please can I come back?!

Whatever I write here will not do Colby Cabin, the owners, the ducks or Truffle justice! As soon as we got out of our car we knew we would have a fantastic weekend. The Cabin is absolutely beautiful and every detail has been taken care of thanks to the owners and the location is just perfect. Far enough away to experience the peace and tranquillity but close enough to enjoy surrounding attractions. The ducks and Truffle have become our new best friends and sitting outside watching the birds was a joy. Can't wait to come back.

Wow, Wow, Wow. Thank you so very much for letting us stay at Colby Cabin and share you little piece of heaven. We both physically took a breath in on seeing what greeted us from the little path. We are not very often stuck for words but here are a few to describe what Colby Cabin gave us:- Peace, Tranquillity, Stunning Views, Relaxation, home from home cosy comfort, No detail left out by thoughtful hosts, Generous hosts, charming, best nights sleep, JUST PERFECT… to name but a few. From the Ducks, the Woodpecker, the robins, nuthatches and tits we were never short of anything to watch or be entertained by whilst we sat outside day or night. We had a much needed rest and you and Colby Cabin facilitated this perfectly. Please can we come back again?

The Cabin is in such a peaceful location yet so close to the likes of Ludlow and Bridgnorth. The owners were very welcoming and explained everything on arrival and provided all we needed for a couple of nights.  It was a privilege to stay in such a handcrafted homely environment.  We look forward to returning to explore more.

The owners were the perfect hosts and couldn't have been more attentive. The cabin has a wow factor as soon as you turn the corner, the pictures do not do it justice. It was obviously a home as it is built to the highest standard for year round use and is maintained in pristine condition. The location is an idyllic rural retreat to enjoy peace and quiet whilst enjoying the views with a drink or two or a perfect jump off point for exploring locally or further afield. You won't find more comfortable, charming or individual private self-catering accommodation. Despite being an amazing cabin in a beautiful location, be prepared for the ducks to steal the show!

We had a delightful weekend at Colby Cabin. The peace and quiet in luscious surroundings was just the tonic we needed. The cabin is spotless with all the bits and bobs we needed. We visited Ludlow, a charming town, and had fun at the Food Festival. Sunday lunch at The Swan at Aston Munslow was superb with clean plates all round. The owners were perfect hosts and we can't wait to return to see Knickers, Tiggy and the rest of the flock soon. Thanks so much!

We stayed at Colby Cabin to celebrate our first anniversary. The owners were so welcoming and have really made the cabin to be a home away from home. On arrival we had an array of sweet treats and prosecco waiting for us, which was such a lovely surprise! Over our stay we were supplied with delicious fresh fruits from the garden and a constant supply of peas (to our and the ducks' delight). The ducks kept us entertained for hours. We loved the morning ritual of feeding them peas and really want our own ducks now! Our outings included visiting Ludlow and enjoying views of the castle, perusing Church Stretton, and canoeing down the river Severn in Shrewsbury followed by dinner by the riverside. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back - thank you!

A beautiful location, hosted by the most lovely people. The owners went above and beyond to make us happy and comfortable here, from providing fresh roses, duck eggs and sweet treats in the fridge to offering to light the fire for us so we would be warm when we returned to the cabin after a long day. They could not have been more accommodating. We were delighted by how connected the cabin is to the surrounding nature, having seen a woodpecker, a kestrel, nuthatches and jays on the very first morning, not to mention the terrifically amusing ducks who we loved throwing peas for! There was no shortage of places to visit in the area, using the cabin as a base. From the town of Ludlow with it's castle to Much Wenlock Priory and several National Trust properties including Dudmaston, Bental Hall, Croft Castle and Berrington Hall within a short driving distance. Overall we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and we already can't wait to come back. Thank you!
